Droning, plodding progressions of slightly distorted sample layers straddling the line between songs and noise.
Generally they make use of an element which the brain recognizes as a form of percussion- a click ticking, feet walking across the floor, etc. From there they add samples of layers splashed like chords that would be in a conventional song.
The result is a sensorious collection of noises which resemble conventional instrumentation in their use.
